Boycotting large chains is a privilege.
Protesting is a privilege.
Moving States or countries is a privilege.
Prepping is a privilege.
Growing your own food is a privilege.
Stockpiling meds is a privilege.
Far too many of the “solutions” to fascism are inaccessible to many disabled people.

Understanding the problem
Instead of being gaslit into trying to treat symptoms
The Trump regime didn't just pop up we created it systemically

It’s the ethical thing to do.
The jews that were able to leave 1930's Germany didn't betray the ones who couldn't.
Like my network (if anyone is tempted to Linux at me, please do not). A game console I have had for years and cannot afford to replace.
While I rarely use amazon now, I absolutely do not judge anyone who needs to.
That kept me going when things were bad bad bad.
That said I have seen some shaming of disabled people who can’t participate in boycotts or actions, as well as some who are unaware of the privilege. That’s where opportunity for improvement is
We can all always do more, but how sustainable is that? Better to do what you can over a long period than to burn out quickly.
I'm sorry that "our side" still has too many people attached out of tribalism, that still fail at basic compassion or logic.
It's not exactly privilege, more a duty, to resist, tho.
(but I could see it feeling that way)
Nobody *wanted* to spend any part of our lives dealing w/ Drumpf!
Also, anything that makes poor people even more poor is regressive, evil and wrong.
Why is Trump’s administration ignoring
Court Orders?
Solution: Courts need to find him in Open Sedition for failing to follow the constitution!
Problem: Republicans Congressional Majority and The DOJ love power more than our civil liberties!
#TrumpOpenSedition
...you are literally replying to someone talking about disabled people.
As you state, *Boycotting large chains is a privilege*
Same applies to *moving*
The culling of the poor, the unwell, and the old.
They want only white, wealthy, and loyal people to remain on US soil.
They want the rest gone. One way or another.
was to lower their grocery costs, deal directly with farmers,
we're able to avoid some of the long drives to stores.
Community groups can help with being overwhelmed by sharing information and concerns. A shared load is lighter.
your area, check for groups of Indivisible or create a group
to share info on protests, news, how to keep your area safe.
I want to encourage people with privilege to think about how to make the above activities for more accessible for those who can’t do them.
We have to save each other.
That's why they're protests and not parades.
preventing you from attending.
Like, even if you have the space and physical capability, hobby gardening isn't going to feed your family.
plant and tend a garden if your health is really bad or
disabled.
Which is why the privileged and anyone able will need to triple their efforts and show up and not run and hide
The rest of us have an obligation to stand up when others can’t. Some of us do. Many do not.
“We’re ALL People” should be our rallying cry. Identity politics, as currently practiced, helped lead us to Trump 1.0 and even more obviously to Trump 2.0.
To commit to full equality for all.
The only people who should be excluded are those who are committed to inequality. Bigots. Haters. Liars. Crooks. Criminals. The list is quite long but viewed as individual groups, they actually have little power.
The moment one of them, or one group, tries to seize the organization and pervert it back to hate, they should be out.
For them, there’s always MAGA Party.
Not to mention meds with short shelf lifes. So many people have zero understanding of reality.
Its $18,000+/month w/o insurance in the USA.
Note: it would be around €400/mo w/o insurance in France. Two of my meds are price gouged to high hell. But I can't move so that's what I deal with.
Try it w YOUR ppl!
Now I finally have med coverage, but so many others don't and have to eat that cost, plus can't save for a crisis.
protests and boycotts are effective if a lot of people do it, but noone should be shamed or ashamed if they are unable
We know you are allies, We fight hard for You too
Call your Congress folks and tell them to tax the rich & leave the safety net alone. Here's how:

60% of US workers can no longer afford basic necessities. They literally cannot afford to protest, prep or stockpile.
Build strong networks of community care. Take people shopping, pick up food & meds, donate to mutual aid. Wear a mask.
No one is coming to save us. We must save each other.
It's because they are exposed and are re-infected with COVID
or other illnesses and sets their health further back.
They are disregarding every child, elderly and vulnerable
person's health.
I'm also privileged in that I can cook at home.
But real resistance starts with what can’t be bought:
Solidarity. Belonging. Purpose.
We don’t all have the same tools—but we can still fight together.
We're trying to grow our own food but hard where we are.
Moving to another country would be amazing! If only those countries accepted disabled people ;-;
UGH.
Protesting hasn't made as much of a media sensation or had as much impact as boycotting (which is already a drastic act.)
The best minds need to be creative, which is also a privilege.
Sometimes I wonder if people in the US voted for Trump as a paniced, "last ditch effort" economic fix; that went wrong.
My issue is more with the people who just suggest these as “solutions” but then won’t even discuss how to make those solutions accessible or what to do for those people who can’t do any of these things
Sending you much love.
My small brain had not thought of these points you put forward! ☮️💖🫂

Do what we can with buying just basics, holding off on large items purchases when possible, compare item prices to see if it's cheaper elsewhere.
If I ever hear someone say that to me one more time, I swear to God, I will go feral. They will have to pry me off of the corpse.
