Um no....I have nothing against ANY minority, in fact, I AM a minority.
I do have a deep concern about parents making extreme social and medical decisions for children. Once a person reaches legal age they can do anything they want as long as they are willing to live with the consequences.

Whatever comes after the "but" in those types of conversations tends to be based on a single misreported incident that occurred one time somewhere, and they judge whole demographics based on it. It's really gross. I hope you can eventually help your mom to break down her biases.
