It's all "conservative" horseshit. If they're worried about mistakes why are they not also worried about bariatric surgery, which has a huge statistical following of regret, or plastic surgery, which is littered with horrific results?

I think that a lot of people genuinely believe that gender transition is something you can quickly do on a whim, like shaving off a mustache, rather than a process with multiple steps, professional assistance, and various options, each a different journey for each person.
