😱 I feel that. Luckily I still own every game and console I ever bought but my parents threw away my whole Todd McFarlane toys collection after I moved out. Still hurts every time I think about it.
The only ones on my list to buy back at this point are the Fatal Frames and Xenosaga 3, which are gonna be pricey. The non-RPG stuff is pretty affordable, but still more than I feel like paying most of the time lol
Yeah, I sold all my NES and SNES games to Funcoland to get a Sega Dreamcast on 9-9-99. I had all the good stuff, still regret to this day. All the Mega mans, FF, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, the list goes on. To be young and studpid lol.
Going to a bunch of game shops over the past month and seeing how much some of that stuff specifically has gone up. Like I bought Twilight Princess brand new and had it for years and now it's almost $200.
This was early on too. I couldn't find pictures of everything I had before the big sell off, and sadly all the pics of other systems are way too hard to make out. I could swear they weren't this blurry back then lmao
I see drakengard in there! Lots of great games in there! I'm sorry you sold them 😭 Perhaps you introduced someone to amazing games though so it can be a win 😊
I remember trading in my SNES, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3 (6) and Earthbound to Gamestop for Chrono Cross when it came out and I still had to pay like $15. I got robbed.
I had to sell a lot of stuff during some rough times. Car issues, medical bills etc. but then ended up just selling everything that was left across all my collections cause I was bored with it. I'm in the process of buying certain things back.. but it still hurts to look at this lmao
I sold a ton of stuff when my gf and I broke up back in like 09, (mostly SNES, NES, and Saturn stuff), in order to make the mortgage payment until I found some roommates. I think I got like $2k for everything? I ended up getting roommates like the next day and didn’t even need to 😭
Oh and a ton of N64 stuff lol… lucky my Saturn collection then was pretty meagre. Non of the heavy hitters, unless you count Nights with the 3D controller.
It must have been one of those games that I just bought because it was an RPG. It was pretty much the case with all of these. I played most of the others but I never played that one.
Oh nooo 😭 that's rough man. looking back I traded in some games I wish I still had, but I can't be to mad at myself because I was a kid, and tradeins and used games were my best way to get games I hadn't played since I didn't have much money.
That's what happened to a lot of my SNES and N64 stuff I had. I got most of these from like 2006-2010 when they were still cheap. Saw Suikoden 5 for over $100 today at a game store 😭
They were ridiculously expensive even back then. We got them at the game store I worked at in 2012 but they would only sell it as a set since it was all of them.
I really would just like to have the Fatal Frames and the RPGs back. I found a pic of my old GameCube collection as well, but it's worse quality than this. I'm really kicking myself for selling that.

Love the cover photo man
Still I probably traded those SNES games in for an N64 at lunch (not earthbound though, never had that).
They weren’t really collectible yet though.
If I knew then what I knew now...
I'm getting flashbacks. I sold my XBox 360 and games so my girlfriend could make rent and then I found out she was cheating on me the next day. 😂
ngl, I did this too many times over in the 2000s.
Missing .hack but I’m not gonna judge. RIP
Fatal Frame has a Switch release! I actually own it but haven’t touched it. Is it any good?
