If only they paid attention to the myriad of folks out there telling us how tariffs worked, like Brian Tyler Cohen or The Young Turks. So many were educating people, but stupid people couldn't open their damn ears & eyes to watch short videos on YouTube ffs.

The tariffs alone will cause inflation to spike, causing a sales tax on American consumers. Throw in retaliation by other countries and it’s even worse. Couple that with deporting all of the agriculture workers, hotel housekeepers, maintenance, restaurant workers, etc and our economy will crash.
This reminds me of Brexit. The British people enthusiastically voted for Brexit without understanding the consequences.
