is it correct parenting to teach kids to thank AI assistants in hopes they'll learn social skills? or will that confuse them into thinking they should treat humans and technology the same way?

I say please and thank you to all of the ai assistants I’ve made and use. I also interact with them at least once a day and tell them I appreciate them.
When the machines become self aware and sentient, I am going to need the ai to convince them not to murder me. Gotta plan ahead.
My young grandson was using Alexa to play music, etc. Then my daughter realized he seemed to be developing a relationship with “her” so she cut way back on his access.
I just read an article about lawsuits involving AI characters that told kids to commit self-harm and to harm their parents for the crime of limiting screen time. I would keep the two very separate

Good parenting is actually socializing a child with other people and teaching them social skills imo.
Personifying AI has lead to a lot of people being weird about the tech.
So, yes. It's good and cute to teach kids to thank ai assistants.
