Brexit rekindled my interest in economics since my degree studies in the 1970s – to the extent that I regularly download ONS' economics data to pursue my quantitative methods interest from uni, as well as point out stuff to Brexiters.

Scotch aside UK food and drink exports have not been a government trade policy priority, but no government feels able to say this leading to a series of half-hearted initiatives. Hard to see any of this changing notwithstanding upcoming trade strategy.

More detailed food and drink data here. Worth noting that spending review cuts are likely to affect support for UK exports in Embassies. On past experience this will be covered up with various announcements (£m for x) that in reality mean little.
