Is this a Man City smoke screen to give the idea that they’ll beat the 115 charges? Money doesn’t matter to them so give him a huge bag to carry on to make it look like alls rosy?
If we are being honest, it’s possible City have given him a strong reason to believe that those charges aren’t going to do anything to them. Which is hella depressing :(
As you often say it’s the talent on the field that is the true defining factor. They have enough money to burn that any decent manager they get in should be able to complete for the Prem & CL. If it’s not him, it’ll be someone else.
Dont think this has anything to do with the courtcase and more to do with the form of the team and unvertainty. He will leave if they are found guilty im sure
It won’t happen to City because they have a nation state behind them, but Juventus was stripped of a title and relegated to Serie B in 2006. This *definitely* won’t happen but Rangers were yeeted to the fourth division in 2012
I don’t think any pts deductions had ever been given prior to #nffc & #efc for ffp and in our particular case the PL wanted 10pts deducted for essentially us being 3wks late holding out for more money to make us more sustainable so it will be interesting to see what they want for >10yrs of cheating
So… if they are found liable for the majority of the breaches, incl the most serious ones which would have required criminal acts to undertake…
AND the IC sides with the arguments on sanctions that I believe will be most damaging (sporting impact that considers ADUG contributions to be all equity..
…arguments for applicable sanctions then it could be less severe.
I have a lot of money on them getting relegated this season though (with a betting company that does not have Ts&Cs which insist it must be done via points deduction).
Also the cash cow thing does not apply.
1. The PL Board despise Man City and wants to send them to Azkaban
2. They don’t even decide. A fully independent panel does. So they don’t consider matters such as those
I think despite the evidence, you can expect the scepticism around PL enforcing any harsh penalties mainly because a. the legal costs and potential appeals that can drag this into uncharted territory and b.complexity around what that would mean for clubs that lost revenue or got relegated
I tend to agree, I don't think they will get relegated or stripped of titles, but then again I'm not educated enough on the matter, and genuinely am clueless with this so wouldn't exactly listen to my opinion 😂

Don’t see how they aren’t stripped of their titles and expelled for a period (not just relegated).
I think it's deserved, but I just can't see them expelling or even relegating one of their cash cows and prized assets.
Genuinely curious.

Then I would be 100% confident they do worse than relegate.
Because if they didn’t, I am sure the sanction will be appealed successfully.
However… if Pannick has a defence in law to the breaches that I cannot conceive or the IC accepta different…

Pep renewing doesn't raise any alarms?
Seems to me City will continue to act in a way that paints innocence, no matter the cost. We saw it with their media spin after the previous case.

Would be my question
Very little chance to “drag into unchartered territory”
I have done a post about compensation claims too
Apologies I must have missed the post on compensations
