Fun fact: this is a legally fine method of pruning applications. I did a HR certificate and the teacher used it as an example whilst talking about equality legislation. It doesn't discriminate against a defined characteristic, so is fine.

I think discriminating against unlucky people is an ingrained cultural bias that should be rooted out.

I tried to do my bit by leaving £5 notes in really obvious places for them to find. But everyone one of them said "Oh, that's lucky!" when they picked them up, so I thought I might be doing more harm than good.
