If a marginalized person corrects you or calls you in and your response is "well, actually" -- you are 1000% not an ally and need to go sit down immediately.

Not really a comment to put out with the word liberal in your bio just saying. If you really are for rights and liberties you wouldn’t put a bias on who’s marginalized but take facts in the communities in their stories and struggles endured that make them marginalized. That makes it…
That’s some bullshit. Right is right and wrong is wrong, no matter if you’re marginalized or not. These kind of ridiculous takes are the reason people think liberals have lost the plot.
But ya don’t let people like them taint the true meaning of liberal. Because liberal by definition is supposed to be for rights and liberties. I use liberal in the correct contexts. So it becomes duty to correct when it’s used as a mask.
…necessary to fight for marginalized communities. Especially when there are people taken by ice without due process. But to what you comment may imply are the oppressors that claim to be marginalized to that I may agree with you on. As they are the ones using a bias to oppress. But that’s just…
Its so much worse when you think about how the marginalized person had to have trusted that person enough to correct them and give them the chance to learn and grow but then that "ally" just shattered that trust in two words.
Some of the incorrect takes are dangerous and it doesn't matter where they come from. For example, I've had marginalized people tell me that masks at protests aren't important. That is objectively wrong. Identity is a weapon and their perspective is dangerous to the community.
I UNDERSTAND the perspective that they will get marginalized anyway and be hurt anyway. I hear that but spreading the narrative to not wear masks to protests is dangerous to the community and they should also know that then, being a marginalized person and all.
