back in the day the delaware dmv was stereotypically bad but about a decade ago they did a huge overhaul and ever since then my dmv experiences have been like peak government service
"My one experience proves a nebulous claim of systemic dysfunction!" he says, right before he goes on the internet to tell other people that anecdotes aren't data. I'd put $50 on it
these "simple" solutions are less efficient! he has an ID already in process, if he wants one faster it will be a duplicate of that.
If he was in such a hurry, he should have looked at the PA DMV's website with a list of locations where "your REAL ID will be issued same day." I found this in 1m
our DMV is pretty good here because we spent over a decade forcing them to while investing in making sure they didn't suck. it's amazing how that happens
Last time I went, I waited 90m, But I was their 50th customer. They literally push people through in under 2 minutes per person. Any staffer who needed a break was immediately replaced. Well oiled fucking machine
Also, all my Pennsylvania DMV experiences have been really good! They keep the line moving. If chic-fil-a is so good how come their drive thru lines spill onto roads causing traffic issues?
you know i’ve always thought when spending all saturday at the dmv “I wish less people worked here and also a tech bro with a shitty nickname could see all my driving record”
I got mine back in 2019. I was missing one piece of documentation. The woman said I could go to FedEx around the corner to print out the document and she let me cut the line when I came back to finish up. She was really nice about it.
Every bigger PennDOT office I've been to has like a customer service/traffic control desk you stop at first and they make sure you have everything you're going to need before you start waiting.
