For middle of the day lots of light scenario, an ND3.0 is good but for sunset or sunrise I would go 1.8 or less
I was using a Nikon camera at the time. Probably D850 if I remember correctly. I think paired with a 24-70mm f2.8 lens.
For long exposure, you just need the right darkness for your nd filter and then it’s the same as every image, it’s working out ISO, F stop and
