My sugar cravings curb by a lot when I hit 3/4s of my protein goals in the first half of the day. Second part may or may not work for you because idk if you have an ED, but making it more about choice than restriction also tends to help for me.
It does! Sometimes we also mistake boredom with hunger too.
When I was super thin I'd get mad sugar cravings because of a lack of protein. When I cut I aim for 1g per pound because I feel better, despite the current studies saying less is fine even for lifters. Whatever works best etc...
Tip: Out of sight, out of mind. DO NOT BUY OR KEEP ANYTHING AT HOME OR AROUND YOU. "It's easier to eat no potato chips than one." Environmental change. If it's not easy to access, less likely to consume.
I have been able to implement that to a degree but it's a challenge because my stepmom is constantly bringing snack food into the house. "I'm not forcing it down your throat" which is true but still. So I'm having to learn discipline for the sake for peace.
