Today is the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the day WW2 came to an end in Europe.

Today we remember all the sacrifices made 80 years ago, which kept this country free.

This evening at 21.00, Southend will light a beacon at the Cenotaph in commemoration. All are welcome to attend.
