Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there actually *is* an effective treatment for measles.
That’s why the vaccine exists. The vaccine is how we treat measles, by stopping it from infecting children, you absolute fucking monster.

RFK Jr talking about the need for doctors to know how to treat measles for those who are unvaccinated.
“Only very sick kids should die from measles.”
No. They shouldn’t. That was the point of the vaccine. We eradicated the virus so children didn’t die.
Sick & disabled kids are not expendable!

There's no effective treatment for most diseases we create vaccines for, including measles
(Covid counts because of lasting damage)
Vaccine creation/production is VERY resource intensive
They're also one of the best things humans ever invented, right up there with the wheel
Someone gets infected, all you can do is treat symptoms and hope they recover.
And without vaccination, it killed a not insignificant number of kids directly. We don’t know how many it killed because it wiped out their immune system memory and they caught something else 6 months later that killed them.
I suggest that EVERYONE ask their Dr at their next appt about their measles vax status. The chances that we will eventually be exposed are going to go up radically. If you qualify for a booster, get it. Vaccination is more important now than ever.
