I think now, the best thing to do is simply notice feelings, cultivate a healthy relationship with our unconscious selves (and ourselves in general), and more closely examine and manage inputs. That's where the actual fulcrum of change lies for a healthier emotional life.

3. I think one can have *some* control over one's own emotions, but "Just stop being sad!" isn't what that means. I think you can reshape your outlook on some stimuli over time, though.
It's weird and wonderful when you discover how to change something for the better
