It always just makes me wonder why more people with relative privilege aren’t already out there fighting on the ground to protect trans people. If they really don’t want it the next stages to progress any further, why aren’t they out there fighting for trans lives? Why aren’t they protecting them?

The sad fact is that anti semitism was rife in the German population in 1933. While few wanted Jews to be gassed, even fewer felt bothered if they just ... went away.
Same with Trans people today. Most wouldn't care a great deal if they are made to go away. Their existence is upsetting.

This is how I feel when people seem less concerned about banning gender affirming care for kids, like it's somehow less serious than for adults. It's an even more vulnerable group, how fucked up do you have to be to attack kids, and how heartless do you have to be to say "at least it isn't adults"

I understand that most people are intending to show that it’s all part of a broader fight against the fash, which of course it is, but it comes across as it would be less bad to allow this stuff to happen to trans people than it would to allow it to happen to other groups

I think for a long time I've accepted the horrible truth that most cis people are not going to do a thing to save us. Our only hope for a decade if not forever has always been connecting our fears to theirs. 💔
