I rarely watch hockey but all series its been noticeable to me how Florida D-men challenge the Leafs puck movers but Leafs D-men are backpedaling too much on Panthers rushes and Florida gains zone sooooo much easier. Is this a strategy by Leafs? Seems odd to my inexperienced eye.

It’s funny, because I had noticed Forsling (allegedly 6’1”) and Schmidt (6’0”) tonight as small defensemen, but they play bigger than their size.
