I am from a farming family in Canada. I read that the VP of the US has some interest in a business called Acretrader, that makes $$ off farmland sales. Is this true? If Trump/Vance policies cause farmers to sell their land, is this a conflict of interest?
"[T]his nation is on a path that is at odds with our established role in the world. . . ." The sooner people realize he's monetized the deconstruction of that role out of either a need to seek revenge on those he believes have disrespected him or because of stateless oligarch payoffs, the better.
They should be used to it by now—Earl Butz in the 1970s, the farm foreclosure crisis of the 1980s, all the way up to the trade wars of the first Trump administration and his devastating mishandling of the pandemic—and they still vote GOP. I’m starting to think they like it
