I'd be surprised if they're actually *paying* for LInkedIn Premium, considering LinkedIn frequently encourages non-paying people to "try LinkedIn Premium for free" for a month. Which seems like plenty of time to get your romance scamming started :-/

That’s why I have alternate emails for social media so I can ignore all kinds of notifications, including spam or attempts by weirdos, and not react haphazardly.

👍 Just wishing for more critical thinking as our surveillance state increases in power, as it collapses protections for consumers, and makes it easier to exploit. For ex: Letting your sub expire without you knowing, deal with the service directly as you come across it rather than some notification.

some *external* notification. Can’t say that would help your situation but it’s just one example and giving room for excuses/exceptions.
