see i grew up religious too, but my parents were the type to only really care when other parents did. like we would consume “worldly” content 24/7, then my mom would all the sudden be like “u guys aren’t allowed to watch dragon ball z bc it’s sinful” just bc her friend mentioned it being bad

I remember going to a disco at a Mormon church (friend’s family connection). They wouldn’t play Culture Club because it was sinful … but would play Bronski Beat and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. My 14 year old self enjoyed their ignorance immensely. 😇
