Just received mine today. I have a few things to sort out first, but as soon as I can have a go, I'll let you know how I got on. To be fair, it's to use in a shower-room darkroom, so I am anticipating...challenges!

Out of interest, how long did it take to arrive? Lead times are saying about 8 weeks

Hi Alex, I ordered on Jan. 12th, expecting a six week lead time. On March 4th I popped them an enquiry about when to expect it. They responded quickly citing supply issues in January, which was understandable. It was delivered yesterday.

Let me know how it goes.
-I got fed up of trying to set my enlarger up in the bathroom, so I have it in a spare room then use a light tight box to move paper to the bath for processing... Hopefully the Intrepid size might make it easier to set up in one place!

Nope. But at the Photography Show at the weekend an Ilford/Harman employee giving a talk on setting up a darkroom recommended them. If that’s worth anything. I thought it was quite notable that they didn’t even name any others.

That's good to hear. I'm very tempted, I just haven't seen reviews/feedback from people who use one..
Although the only other option I have atm is trying to source ancient Durst parts (again!)

Great! I just want to know if there are any issues with using it, and if the LED light source is Ok compared with traditional bulbs?
I see you print colour so I love to know if it's as simple as it looks with the filters on the timer..
All I hear is good things, but there must be negatives! :)

It has several advantages: weight and size. You can hold it in your hand—I also use it as a light source for painting on paper. I can't do that with my old, heavy enlargers. The other advantage is the illuminated display of the filter settings. You can operate it...

or readjust something in complete darkness, which is extremely important for multiple exposures. My art wouldn't exist without the Intrepid. It gives me a multitude of possibilities.

The only drawback: the negative carrier. The image section isn't variable. You can't change the frame. That's the only reason I still use my old enlarger. And I think the Intrepid has slightly cooler light compared to my bulb-powered enlarger.
