Another thing I love about Bluesky, no opposing view ads. Once Elmo took over Twitter, those ads landing between comments were awful. Thanks Bluesky. 💙🦋

Right!? So many times on my phone I would end up with 2 ads going at the same time with a small tweet in between. smh I don't miss that money grabbing bs at all.
I mean, I would understand having to pay a little bit for the privilege, say e.g. 1-3$ a month. That ought to help keep Bluesky running without being extortionate.

Totally get that, those intrusive ads on Twitter were a nightmare. Bluesky’s clean, ad-free vibe is definitely a breath of fresh air. Let’s hope it stays that way and doesn’t follow the same path as other platforms. Fingers crossed! 💙
OK, I can say this now that I've downloaded my stuff from the Bird app and am waiting out my 30 days-- a few years ago, when everyone else started getting slammed with ads, the few ads that I was getting stopped. I never got any more. Maybe it is because my account was <4000, but I got nothing.None
I didn't want to say anything because I thought it was just a glitch. When all the bra ads came out, I thought for sure I'd get those. But nope. Puzzling...
Exactly. I was flooded with not just trolls, but all of my peeps were considered as such. In other words, Elmo's algorithm inverted what I wanted to see.

An advertisement like "vist Belize" is quite nice, and there were many in the beginning.
Later, there were only "buy my crypto-pron scam". Kinda breaks your flow of thought, and not a pleasant way.
