Mate, vari-speed. They basically invented it. They recorded the songs really fast and then George Martin slowed them down to the hits we know today.

You forget there were 5 of them, if you include George Martin, giving them 42.6 songs to record each. That works out at 5.63 minutes per song, which is easily doable.
