Tabitha Brown brought up targeted shopping as an option. Essentially if you have to go to Target or Walmart to only buy the Black owned brands. She said those businesses probably won’t survive existing online and they are responsible for the merch in the store. This CEO should have said that instead

I totally agree with this approach not all of us live in big cities some of us live in areas where there are limited options and a target or Walmart is the only option. My plan is to do bare minimum and I also like the idea of targeted shopping.

It's a strategy, but when it's done correctly, there's a body of leadership that establishes guidelines while setting up litigation or negotiation against the entity being boycotted to establish the conditions that need to be met.

And then providing concrete, viable, sustainable alternatives.
