hot take: I never use ESLint. Sure, I will go ahead and use prettier, but ESLint creates more false positives than good imo and more of the smells it picks up can be picked up with a code review.

Yeah like 90% of the time its more hassle than its worth. Prettier kinda has the polar opposite mentality of ESLint in design in that you don't have to think about or fight it.
Obviously they serve different purposes but yeah I think that make clean diffs and standard code styling is good but eh its been a while since ESLint did something meaningful for me and not just cause me a fight.
Part of it is also that a load of my projects have old ESLint v8 configs that I just don’t have the energy to move to v9 — I very much like that Prettier is opinionated and just works, no (complex) config needed.
Yepppp, prettier just gets out my way and makes my diffs better, I don't have to touch it at all really (well apart from I do set a opinionated prettierrc, but its VERY small)
