Usually I start by randomly writing whatever comes into my head but as it’s generally me going OH NO in the face of a blank page, I don’t get anywhere fast
Flick thru a mag. Stop at first pic that arrests you. Set a 15 min timer. List 15 words inspired by pic. Then write an opening para, featuring a person and a place. Write on til timer stops you.
Thanks! Speaking of timers, I think I’ve found GOLD. I have adhd & struggle with so much (ridiculous) shit that’s not such a big deal for other people and this thing has really made such a difference, in both my work life & writing life
