Fantastic! It's rewarding work. Hubster now has ~50 different heritage varieties of apples. He's becoming a master at grafting. The orchard is already looking glorious. Just need the pollinators to do their bit 🌸🐝🍏

I collected scions from local heritage varieties, so I've got some nice ones. The top working is mostly to convert a red delicious tree into something nice, it has 13 grafts. I was sent red delicious instead of red falstaff, only found out two years after planting but still got a replacement.

I’m not sure whether my plum bud grafts from last year have taken or not yet. Nothing much doing on them, although they look like they’re fused onto the rootstock.
I need to try again with scions on my apple rootstock but that’s not looking very alive!

I’ve got one plum rootstock. Was hoping to graft a nice little cherry plum to it. Have lost access to the cherry plum tree now 😫
Also got an apple rootstock as our plot neighbour has a really tasty apple tree and was hoping to propagate our own tree using scions from his tree…

I hadn't done much, I think having the bits in good condition (Kept in the fridge) is really important, JSacadura videos on youtube were really helpful, and I practiced a bit too, good luck!

Thanks, I hope so, the grafts just need to be strong without any gaps or breaks that result in rot or disease, but I was really careful.
