I think Purim (which is today) is always going to be the Jewish holiday I feel the least connected to. I don't drink, nor do I enjoy being around groups of people who are drinking. The four mitzvot make no mention of alcohol, but no synagogues in the area have an option for a sober Purim. Irksome. - ThreadSky

Admittedly, I love Purim but I don't really drink either. I haven't seen a sober Purim (which is a great idea and might be worth hosting!) but I've been to lots of Purim carnivals/celebrations that are kid-focused and don't include alcohol (but are still fun for adults; I don't even have kids).

There are Hasidic groups (like mine) which despise drunkenness even on Purim - in theory, and in varying degrees, in practice too

You might enjoy the kids version better, though that has its own barrier (having a relationship to a Jewish child.) There's usually a carnival and general silliness without the drinking.
