Not really. Garland was doing nothing for about a year, the was very, very, very slow. You seem to be misinformed. SCOTUS ruling potentially helps Trump only on his decisions in his "official capacity".

Scotus took up the case and sat on the ruling to give trump the largest possible delay.

Cannon is another matter. As far as Garland and the Dems go - they messed it up bigly. Garland was more concerned about optics, not upholding the law. There were so many ways to hold Trump accountable, instead of just waiting like a little bitch. The bottom line: Dems were in power, did not use it.
