Which "extreme progressive policies" would those be? Medicare for all? Boosting the minimum wage? Reproductive rights? Affordable housing? Surveys show that a majority of Americans support these policies (when they're not labeled as "socialism"). Heck, MAGAs like the ACA (but not Obamacare, :sigh:).
Of course not - universal health care, limited abortion rights and affordable housing are not "extreme" progressive policies - allowing boys to play girls sports because they say they feel like a girl, mandating taxpayer payment of transgender surgery, et al, are
She’s fearless, honest, and messages clearly and confidently to the essence of issues without a hint of political triangulation. Some people are put off by her audacity, but it works for me. Could she win over swing voters? They might feel spoken to, not at, by her.
Not as long as she is aligned with the antisemitic "Posse". That alone turns off a lot of people. She also needs to learn a little bit more about which fights to pick and which ones to drop. She can take a few pointers from Pelosi. She is smart and hopefully she'll pick up the "art" of politics.
I agree. I think she is headed for an incredible future
In 10 years time she will have grown to the point where those that brush her off now will be sitting up and taking notice
Already the opposition is fearing her - and with good reason
She’s never held a statewide office. I think Wes Moore or MVP would be more viable. However I don’t think the United States is ready for a woman president. I’m ready, but this goofy ass electorate is stuck on some 🐂 💩
the moment the GOP senses even the most remote possibility that AOC might run (like now) they're going to endlessly drag her on anything and everything (which seems to have already started)
Whatever. I hope California can keep the country’s head above water. Newsom for 2028 if there’s an election. Even Russia has elections so there is hope
Fox News & the Republicans are elevating AOC - because they want to talk about Dems as socialists/Communists/Marxists for the next 4 years.
DON’T fall for it
Yeah, cause who was it who said this is a new American Revolution? Who was it who said it would be “bloodless, so long as the left allows”? Was it Kevin Roberts from Heritage Foundation? Buncha’ BS.
All Democrats in office need to be like AOC. She upsets the absolute Fk out of MAGAs because she doesn't put up with any of their stupid Bullshit and rightly so - Fuck them.
Unfortunately she is absolutely correct. AOC is the best natural politician I have ever seen in both national and district level politics. She’s an absolute rockstar.
they are piss scared of AOC over there at Fox "news". if u listen to @decodingfoxnews.bsky.social there isn't a week that goes by where she isn't mentioned at least once
I believe a big reason Harris lost is because nobody ever confronts drumpy on his lies . He said his economy was great over and over and nobody ever confronted him . People believed him
Then let's consider forming them as a team and putting them on the ticket in 2028
I was afraid of splitting the vote or would have written AOC in this time
I dont believe AOC was eligible. I dont think she is 35, yet. She and this country is ready for that seat. She does need to move up in Dem leadership though!!
She is 35 now. So she will be eligible in 28. Idk if she is ready for that big of shoes yet. I feel like I’d like to see her win a state level race first.
I think, strongly, it need to be someone from the mid-west, PA, NC, not someone from CA, NY, or NE. A real man or woman of the people, not an elite or pretend (Trump) type.
You must be delulu to think America will vote for her. We saw what just happened. I don’t think she can even break NY state for senate seat. 2028 is Gavin Newsom
Does she know communism?? Where and who's going to explain to Americans what real communism is? Her role should be explained Fascism which is what people will soon know more about. Let's sprinkle in some theocracy, too.
AOC is great and definitely one of our party's greatest leaders but let's not put all the world on her shoulders. We have a lot of great people in the Democratic Party.
She is right! AOC is the populist charismatic leader who truly connects with working class people irrespective of party affiliation. She is my top choice!
The only thing saving us is the chances of any relationship with trump lasting the distance is slim, assuming he doesn’t die and Vance become president automatically
Will he though? Swing state voters who decide the election are decidedly anti-California and Newsom is not very popular among them. Nor is he a good economist populism messenger.
You’re right, I guess it’s way too early to draw conclusions. And obviously I’d support anyone but my preference would also be someone younger people can see themselves in and who is a fighter.
Dems should definitely turn to the new generation to save us! AOC, Max Frost, Jasmine Crockett ... Those who came from the people and are not ivy league lawyers too worried about being goody two shoes. We need fighters who will do what's right and will not follow broken rules!
One thing I learned from studying history is that things can change quickly and unexpectedly, and it’s often those who laugh it off who are the last to realize it.
It’s unfortunate that AOC shines so bright, she paints herself a target for the propagandists. Week after week, year after year, the right will lie and smear her in the public domain. It may not matter how solid her base of support is if centrists have a distorted view of her.
There a lot of forceful, brilliant, charismatic leaders in he D party- they’re gonna be working hard in the next 2 years to take maggats out of office. And doing so with style, A LOT of humor and flair.
I don’t agree with all of AOC’s opinions but I do admire her. She is a force and so articulate. I absolutely loved that she went to Texas to help during the freeze when the senator from Texas fled to Cancun. I thought Colin would win that race for that alone. We’re living in the upside down.

DON’T fall for it
let the country have what it asked for
Good.
I mean Maga was wearing garbage bags
try “middle of the road almost republican but can we please get some accountability and rule of law” left. that’s what i saw this last round
So they’re bringing AOC out of post-Hillary 2016.
I was afraid of splitting the vote or would have written AOC in this time
That much is clear.
We have too much misogyny in our culture yet.
How about Doug Jones, former senator from Alabama?
@repjasmine.bsky.social is a far superior preference for Democratic Party leadership than AOC.
Rep Jasmine has never once praised Bernie, Hasan Piker, or Noam Chomsky. And has zero affiliation with @demsocialists.bsky.social
I do have to agree that she is not to be "underestimated".
That is what the GOP is attacking.
