Was Dersh not available? Or willing? He used to do well with this sort of thing. That CEO killed countless numbers of people. Someone’s getting Luigi off.
He retained a high powered lawyer because he's from a privileged/wealthy family. It's reported that his family may make more money than the man he shot. What a deranged murderer, may he rot in prison.
I wonder what happened to him.. he had surgery and then his entire personalty changed? Friends and family, had no idea why this could happen? His mother hadn´t heard from him since july and made a missing persons report in november. My theory.. schizophrenia, that got triggered by his back surgery.
Be interesting to see what he pleads. Not guilty by reason of ... the guy deserved to die and besides I'm a Robin Hood for the modern ages so that counts too, right?
He did not deserve to die. By that measure, should people be killing politicians who don’t vote the way they like? How about grocery chain CEOs who gauge prices? Oil company CEOs poisoning the planet? Where does it end?
We have to have laws. Vigilante justice isn’t the way.
I'm pretty sure we're totally in agreement on this. I've been hassled on here for saying exactly that ... Sometimes folks lose perspective ... Democrats are fighting to maintain the rule of law, not trash it. Ugh, Sigh, Ugh
The judge needs to approve of an insanity plea. He would need to be examined by a court approved psychiatrist to determine if his actions were committed due to insanity or if he understood right from wrong. Insanity is notoriously difficult to plead in court.
The usual combat cosplay types just fantasize about shooting people they don’t like. Y’know, “the libs”, immigrants, brown people…it would never occur to them to punch up as in this case, and underline who our real enemy is.
She’s an excellent attorney. He will get a professional defense. Justice will prevail and I personally believe he will be held accountable in the end of the process.
This guy blowing up on all the MAGA YouTube channels is spreading Russian propaganda. Not sure if he's just being seeded or if he's complacent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPj59xpMF1Y
I just rewatched SCROOGED. If there hadn’t been ghosts, Elliot Loudermilk would have ended up in Altoona. We’ve been fantasizing about reforming billionaires with fear and death forever…
Perhaps he will use the military to do it, but shooting someone on 5th Avenue is still within the realm of possibility, and now we know his voters and the Supreme Court would definitely excuse him.
It's probably a good demonstration of what social class you are if considering what would happen if you were murdered in New York.
I imagine that the police would view me as a statistic where the case ran cold and probably would not pursue my killer across state lines while news outlets follow.
I thought you were talking about how the legal system works for the people involved in the case. When the case is high profile, either donations roll in or some highly qualified lawyer takes the case on for free. Kyle Rittenhouse is a good example, as are Casey Anthony and Susan Smith.
Because I lived in a neighborhood where allegedly the house that burnt down at the corner was allegedly mafia retribution, it sounds super mafiosi to have her represent him. 😂😂😂
With Republicans in charge of Congress & the White House & the nominees Trump has selected for his Cabinet that’s very unlikely. Republicans are currently talking about cutting Medicare & subsidies for ACA that thousands of us depend on, including me, to pay for our plans are set to expire Dec 2025
Wow I thought KFA had more ethics then that. Everyone deserves representation but lawyers don’t have to accept the case. I guess it helps to have a rich family
Really looking forward to your takes on this trial as it unfolds. No doubt it will set some precedents and raise some difficult moral, ethical and legal questions
I mean maybe? but this is also just a great case for any defense attorney that wants to make a name on the national stage and a whole lot of attorneys were publicly offering their services to him at no cost.
Complacent, lazy Americans: let’s Venmo $$ at a high powered attorney (who’s client will spend the rest of his life in prison) instead of organizing massive strikes to protest a virulently predatory & extortionate healthcare system.
Because Americans have never fought for anything in their lives.
I just wish they would start giving us some illustrative video to accompany their over-the-top adjectives. Maybe something like some hyper fast tap dancing or exploding volcanos.
I might watch exploding beer volcanos. Honestly, who watches CNN? I'm just glad Acyn watches this mess & gives us the cliff notes so we can goof on that network.
Everyone gets defense. I would not want this case. There will be a lot to learn from this case. She's very smart with alot of experience, so yes, it will be good. Will he get off? Highly doubtful.
Insurance companies kill people all the time, but it's okay, they aren't rich executives. Also, our country, together with Israel, has killed some 45,000 people in Gaza (it's hard to keep count) mostly women, babies, children. So let's not pretend.
No, they don’t kill people. That’s like saying Anheiser Busch or Ford Motors kills people so it’s okay to murder their CEOs. Good lord just listen to yourselves
Not at all the same. Insurance companies deliberately control the medical care people can receive in order to maximize their profits. They fight against a universal healthcare system that would cover everyone. People suffer and die needlessly, prematurely, because of their greed.
Like do people even understand where health insurance profit comes from? They have a profit margin around 5%. They are required by law to spend at least 85 cents on claims for every dollar of premium paid and about 10 cents is needed for expenses. They make profits through volume, not denials
It’s one of THE most heavily regulated industries and each state DOI scrutinizes their claims adjudication processes. Do mistakes happen or are wrongs done? Sure. It’s a massive industry. Does it need reform? Absolutely! But that doesn’t mean the companies or people working there are evil
That is absolutely not how it works. At all. I don’t even know where to start with you mischaracterization of how insurance, state governments, and health care providers interact
Pow! Right between the eyes
Oh, how nature loves her little surprises
Wow! It all seems so logical now
It's just one of her better disguises
And it comes with no warning

Everybody gets an opportunity to defend themselves in the court of law. But the evidence is overwhelming. Casings that are proven to be from the gun he used, his fingerprints and DNA on stuff. But who knows🤔. Trump got off. OJ got off.
FOR THOSE THAT DON’T KNOW WHO’S THE BSA CEO… Roger A. Krone is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Boy Scouts of America, and this is how we are getting further exploited by the BS BSA bankruptcy sham! https://survivingscouting.org/bankruptcy/letter-to-the-us-trustee
She is a Meidas Touch contributor (and/or Legal AF.) A good match, and good luck to the guy who MAY be likened to the person that assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and started World War One.
I stopped watching CNN a while ago. The Trump town hall was shameful. Trump isn't even a conservative. He's a con man who is willing to lie at every breath and the GOP uses him to win elections.
You certainly are full of conclusions w/o all the evidence. Simply b/c he is rich does not mean he is entitled nor that the deceased crossed him. Why not wait for all the evidence?
A poorer person couldn't have shot the guy? Honestly, it looks like a pretty friction-free series of events. He just showed up in a hoodie with a gun, and pulled the trigger. Poorer people do this every day.
She was. Many go to defense when they leave the DAs office.
Knowing the ins and outs of who you will be working against is a plus, that is why former prosecutors are sought out for cases like this.
It's well documented. In mainstream articles. Google Meiselas Diddy. Ben interned for him and credits him for getting him into politics. Ben's dad was his lawyer for ages. Diddy set him and his wife up. This is a snip from a 2019 Variery article. Crickets from the Meiaelas family. No denouncement.
I used to be a regular listener but stepped back from them earlier this year, mainly b/c they were repetitive to me. But, I’ve heard that Jessica Denson left b/c they were censoring her on the topic of potential election fraud.
It's only an echo chamber. They recently bragged that 97% of their listeners agreed with the Hunter Biden pardon. No other group in America would have close to that number. Proof that it's an echo chamber. They don't allow outside voices. I hate Trump but this is not the way forward. Losing strategy
In court, the presumption of innocence means that until proven guilty, the state cannot assign consequences. WE, the randos of America who know he's guilty, are free to treat him as guilty.
He’s guilty, he’s on tape murdering in cold blood. He had the murder weapon, he had the manifesto. He will have his day in court but there’s no way he’s found innocent.
I completely agree with you. Health insurance companies prioritize profits over saving lives. And sometimes, their inaction can contribute to preventable deaths.
I love Karen Friedman Agnifilo! What a sharp mind she has - she really knows her stuff.
I thought she was a prosecutor... I guess she's defending nowadays.
Either she’s going pro bono or someone is footing the bill. That gal ain’t cheap. One thing for sure, he’s got one of the best out there. Wow! 🤩 This is going to be interesting. Stay tuned!
Some people are better salespeople. If the attorney knows the law, knows how to twist the law, and is a good salesman, she can get a guilty client a nonguilty verdict.
Personally I grieve for the many thousands of men women & children who needlessly died sometimes horrible deaths...denied life saving surgeries & medication...children 😔
I was surprised too, but 1st degree in New York requires that the murdered person be a judge, a police officer, and there's another list. 2 is as high as it goes in this case.
Rich or poor, healthcare is the great equalizer. The insurance companies don't care, they'll take anyone's money and then watch them die waiting to be approved for treatment. He is not the 1%.
I don't think you understand what the 1% is then. If he isn't part of the ruling class, he isn't the 1%. We occupied Wall Street, not the suburbs of Connecticut.
Said this from the start. He’s going to portray himself as a victim of healthcare abuse. A man with a chronic pain that who no fault of his own is in terrible pain and refused care and felt he had nothing left to lose. People already feel sorry for him. He won’t get life. He’ll plead out or get off.
Discovery in this will be a bitch. Imagine if the defense subpoenas UHC records for malpractice to show his this company has been fleecing, even unaliving people ….. Maybe UHC might consider working with the defense?
UHC isn't "unaliving" people. They are murdering people. All health insurance companies make money off of denying people life saving care. They are leeches on society.
He went dark 6 mos ago, wrote a manifesto, thinks he's the first one to take action on the problem, etc. It all points to mental illness, yet I haven't heard that mentioned at all. Schizophrenics do not think they are mentally ill and would probably not want to use that defense.
No but in his manifesto he talks about chronic pain, back surgery & pain meds. The back story is there. He’s got family and friends on tv talking about how sweet he is and how this is so out of character for him. He already has a high powered attorney & the spin machine has begun. He’s a hero.

I'll say it if nobody else will.
Luigi’s motto:
Scopa e scoprilo
May justice be served for the common man, fighting against the billionaire Mafia that has taken hold of this country.

I don't know how to feel about this.
I imagine that the police would view me as a statistic where the case ran cold and probably would not pursue my killer across state lines while news outlets follow.
Yes I know I know murder should not be the way….. but if this saves lives 🤷🏿♂️
It pays for itself ten times over on the back end, usually.
It sound like Dragon Ball Z…
Regardless of where you stand. Everyone will be watching .
Because Americans have never fought for anything in their lives.
So keep your fingers crossed on Luigi's situation.
Just wouldn't be celebrating a self admitted murderer securing a popular lawyer
And regardless of the entire social phenomenon and implications.
Why is this 2nd grade murder?
What else should one do to fit in 1st grade? 😳

Damn if Karen gets him off, we're going to have to switch Karen's for Nancy's...

More details, please
Hmmmm... great question.
Why not? The guy he killed went around killing folk.
I thought she was a prosecutor... I guess she's defending nowadays.
That's great for him, she's top level.
Also, killing the dude was selfish as hell. I'm waiting for a hacker to go in there and approve all the claims and wipe out all the debts.
I think we're done here 🤣🤣🤣
2nd degree homocide?
Pre planned
Homicide. 🙄
Obvious Trump brown noser, and has been for years.
Anything is possible in America today. 🎁
