I am not a fan of sensationalist headlines but I am aware of why they are necessary. To say that @meidastouch.com is sensationalist though is quite wrong and disparages one of the few sources for truth we have left.
lol Meidas headlines are the literal definition of sensationalist clickbait. Always have been. It's not that they aren't telling truth, but they are sure clamouring for those clicks to do it.
And there's nothing wrong with calling them out for it.
I think it's necessary to have more clickbait stuff on our side. One of our big problems is not appealing to the "low-information" voter. The right has no shortage of easily digestible, clickbait content. I think this sort of content on the left fills a niche that has needed filling.
So how are they supposed to exist? They don’t have the resources of big donors. The moment they become beholden to big donors is the moment they become just another source of misinformation.Their content has been great. I say click on.
Well said. You look at a guy like David Pakman. He says he doesn’t really care for them and tested his content without them. The clicks plummet. I have been able to put my feelings about them to the side for the greater good.
Indeed it is. I just want Meidas and my other faves like @davidpakman.bsky.social to follow the data and market in whatever way gets the most clicks. Those sensational headlines work and they should keep doing them until they don’t.
lol that's honestly the worst way to grow... the internet is already full of clickbait, and they will eventually become just another channel everyone blocks because of it.
Grow because of the quality of the content, not the used-car salesman ick of a clickbait headline.
I think it’s important they exist and the headlines are proven effective. I would discourage them from changing what has given them such phenomenal growth. Looking at a few thumbnails that I don’t personally need is a small price to pay to see them keep skyrocketing like they are.
The Democratic party needs billionaire money to compete with Republicans, but they don’t need billionaires leading them. It is the difference between funding a movement and steering its direction. It is at the cost of real representation and likely why it keeps failing
Yes, Sen Schiff was great, aggressive, correct and factual in the hearing. Loved his telling kashy to turn around and look at the Capitol police officers.
But it's understood that R/maga Sens will approve.
Sorry for being off subject but during fed lockout of computers could anything be done to corrupt the system ?
Like scim a lot of money ?
Sorry I'm an old guy don't know how things are done or how corrupt this administration is
