Per Wikipedia: The last Dem candidate for president to win a majority in the county was LBJ in 1964… Jerry Brown was the last Democrat to win the county in a gubernatorial election in 1978. Kern remains the only county in Southern California that consistently votes GOP in recent elections.

Gonna be tough getting those expensive houses rebuilt after grump puts a 25% tariff on limber products, and the workforce is hiding at home due to stasi raids. It's going to affect the entire economy, not just the local field worker economy.
