I managed to track down Lilies. A beautiful Quebecoise film where a 1910s love story is acted out by prisoners in 1950 for a bishop. It is hot, and heartbreaking.

When I watch it I am 19 in a science theatre with the university queer group. Giddy as hell and insecure and new and hopeful.
