There's likely no way to quantity this, but it does make for a great discussion. And being neither a pro hockey or basketball player probably negates my opinion anyway. Lol. Let's just agree that there is nothing cushier than the life of a middle reliever in baseball.

because you also kinda have a direct pipeline into coaching after you retire
