Arguments in favor of tariffs don't hold water:
protect domestic industries
bring back jobs from overseas
revive U.S. manufacturing
generate revenue
balance trade deficits

I totally agree. I just don’t understand how people can be that stupid, so I give them a benefit of the doubt. May be I don’t get something.
What if this is a negotiation tactic?
