I'm at the age where i find out that someone is dead, forget about it and then get shocked again several years later when I come across information that they're dead because I forgot about it.

Oof, heard. I was just thinking it would be funny if Patrick Swayze retired to give dance lessons at a resort in the Poconos and was shocked to learn he died 14 years ago.
I spend a good 10 minutes asking myself if I actually had hear the news before, then thinking back on the time that it happened to see if there were bigger events in my life that I'd have been distracted by.
My shock was my ex dying from a routine medical procedure.
Also, when I finally decide to reach out to someone I lost touch with, only to find out they’re dead.
The most shocking one outside the procedure was my old friend my daughter wanted to talk to, but had been hit in his vehicle by a train.🥺
Where the only proof of total organ death non occurring yet had been my lavender gel acrylic nails done that kept growing upon arriving

Watching movies is good though - no spoilers. Even if I've seen it before.

Where folk believe they themselves have already died
It’s called something
Syndrome
In distress I’ve experienced that sensation
Especially upon surviving a fatal injury yet being in a debilitated surreal state
