A question for trans folks 🏳️⚧️ for my PhD research, do you manipulate the gender of your voice for different practical social contexts (passing, or intentional clockiness), for fun (DND, drag, etc.), or musical practice?

very often, i tend to speak more softly/smoothly in a context where my appearance may be "ambiguous" (short talks when i'm outside) but with close people i play a lot with my voice, with very high or very low tones or fem/masc voices, whether it's to be silly or to make jokes
i do too! i want my natural voice to have the lower-weight smoothness to it, but there's so many instances where heavy, masc, or tired, or just wanting to sound more like the people around me.
yeah! i guess that when there's a context where you can release the tension in your voice, it becomes less of a thing you want to control within a precise range or manner, whether it be tone, rate of speech, volume etc..
