There's something grimly ironic about Trump, whose criminal guilt was quite clear based on public information, managing to land in the White House rather than a prison cell thanks to dragging out Due Process, now handwaving process away and assuming the right to brand criminals by fiat.

Of course a lot of people get away with too much shit - Trump being the most egregious example.
Fox News = justification
That’s all it takes!
It shouldn't be this way, but in practice, it just is. At least in dysfunctional democracies (or autocracies).
Americans continue to think themselves morally and intellectually superior to citizens of banana republics but a majority voted in a wannabe two bit banana republic dictator.
Subtract the racist and sexist votes and she would have won.
The quality of their evidence is stunning.
I'm starting to think a lot about the other side of that coin. Greed (clicks) and our newly discovered oligarchs have taken over our media. How fast independent media takes over will be highly correlated with our nation's chance of survival.
Trump thinks the government should be his personal property, and millions of Americans agree because they think Trump owning the government like his personal property will benefit them.
The worst sin would be for a person of Trump's socio-economic position to face punishment, or even mild discomfort.
