Great thread! A lot of it resonates with how I feel my season went. The 5FTs seemed huge for how I like to play the game as I think I struggled to make short term decisions vs longer term transfers. Really like the way you've reviewed your season, think I'll do the same at some point 👍

1. Positive variance (for once).
2. Not taking a single hit all season and adapting to the new possibility of saving up to 5 free transfers combined with playing more patiently.
3. Sending less on GKs and defenders due to the BPS changes.
4. A crucial decision was to sell Haaland for good in Gw12.

6. Talisman Theory is real.
7. Chip strategy acc. to doubles/blanks: WC6 (okay), AM24 (good), WC31 (good), TC32 (poor), BB33 (poor), FH34 (great).

WC31 was bad for me. Triple ups on City, Palace and later Villa were definitely mistakes.

I had a poor start as always. I was 4M after GW6. It was a huge mistake to select the unproven Quansah and Nkunku in GW1. Bruno, Eze, and Muniz were good decisions but awful outcomes with all three wildly underperforming their xGI.

Not starting with Salah hurt but I corrected that in GW4 by tranferring him in, and in GW3 I got on Rogers early — good call.

I don’t like early wildcards but I often end up playing them because I feel like I must correct my early season mistakes and there’s usually a tempting fixture swing. I swapped Salah for Díaz on WC6 and kept Haaland. Not great. I also got Mbeumo and Wood on WC6 which turned out well.

In GW10 I got Salah back in admitting the mistake on WC6. I also bought JSL for Wolves plum fixture run as I could not afford Cunha, which was probably a mistake (to not have made sure to have that money).
