Well they should drop the highly subsidised prices then! Make them live in the real world, and pay the same as everyone else. Save the taxpayers a great deal of money. The same with the restaurants as well.

I get the argument, but I'd like them to stop the subsidies in the bars and restaurants. Normal working people don't generally get tax-payer subsidised food and alcohol, neither should MPs or anyone else who works in/visits the House of Parliament.

No problem with the bars but:
1 not subsidised and compelled to run as businesses paying rents at central London commercial rates
2 limited opening hours
3 money taken subject to full public scrutiny
