Ms Reeves will be telling us next she had no idea the wealthy stashed £b’s in offshore accounts. For the sole intent of not accounting for it or paying taxes. But then the EU made it compulsory to declare offshore financial interests. So…you know… Sovrinty, they need us more than we need them etc

Always the same. If you pay tax through PAYE, you're a really easy target. Don't pay it through PAYE and have enough wealth to be able to employ an accountant and you're pretty much guaranteed to pay a smaller percentage of your earnings.

When you have billions a few million has no impact. Reduce the ordinary persons income by a few pounds and it makes a real difference. Food or heating for instance.

I know. Never have I been SO disillusioned!
We waited for 14 years for a Labour government; we knew and understood that they were inheriting a nightmare financial situation, but we didn’t expect a complete about turn in core values, philosophy and ethics.
This doesn’t even resemble a Labour Party.

Yes, I echo your sentiments. I absolutely (obviously!) wanted the Tories gone, but I’m finding their decisions (penalising the already struggling) and their political move to the right frankly jaw dropping for a Labour Party.
(And why didn’t they keep the WFA but just tax it for the better off?)
