Question for those who use NPC generators (non-AI)...

Do you use them for Dungeons and Dragons only? Or for other TTRPGs?
Do any of you use them for fantasy writing, or sci-fi? If so, do the RPG stats/term put you off?

I'm designing a new gen, and trying to determine what approach I should use.
