Surrogate families generally include a mother (or at least two dads, which is functionally equivalent). As such, not a whole lot different in that sense than a teenage mother giving their kid up for adoption rather than try to raise it while still in high school.

I have noticed most concerns with surrogacy tend to target adoption, too.
