Thank you so much Bonnie, and I am glad you enjoyed my story! I am very glad that you feel that my work brings to joy to others, that is very meaningful! 😊🙏🙏
Hey Christoph, thanks for the introduction and I can only second what others have said: your photos are creative, inspiring, beautiful and technically perfect. Thanks also for featuring so many other great photographers and enriching my timeline! Keep them coming, cheers
Lovely story, and stunning images. Like you, I also attended college and realized during that period that a camera was my true passion. Glad to see you’re chasing yours!
Love this thread & pics so much. Do you ever feel in Nature like you’re at one with physics? A spiritual experience - keenly aware because of your physics education? I lack the words to use for the feeling.
Loved your pinned photo but didn't realize there was a whole story in the thread below. Amazing journey you've shared. My favorite thing on the Internet for a while. Thanks for all the encouragement!
Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I am in a good and very happy place now, but it was a long way to get here, as it is for many of us! I am happy, but life is not all roses either! 😅
Great story! Glad you were able to find you passion and follow it. So many people don't even find what brings them joy in this world and many of those that do aren't able to or don't follow it. It's great to see someone who has both. You are very talented. Thanks for sharing your story!
I appreciate you, Cristoph. The world needs more positive energy, and you show it through your work and the encouragement and exposure you provide to others, both pro and recreational, on this site. Keep on being you!
Christopher, I have a similar story of departure and that of arriving as well. Different details from yours and yet a gorgeous journey that awakened the lens of my camera as well as my soul’s. Love how you see and express… Bravo!
Oh that is great, Lucia, and thank you so much for your kind words! I would love to hear more about your journey, and the Bluesky community would also! We have a great photography community here! 😊🙏
I was lent some wooden skis from the Club Andino and had my first skiing lesson from the 15 year old in the picture (a superb skier). I was 17. We thought that was an adventure. It was close to La Paz and barely accessible ( sometimes not) by car. Thanks for taking me back to those memories.
Mount Chacaltaya in Bolivia. When i was a kid, it was the highest ski slope in the world. There was an abundance of snow, then. We used a VW engine and a wooden t -bar that we each made for ourselves to reach the top of the glacier.
