A big part of my appreciation of the Fujita scale died in 2011.
Joplin was going to be rated an EF4, like Tuscaloosa. They didn't have a DI.
It felt wrong given the death. I feel that way about Tuscaloosa, Rolling Fork, and now London.
ISU mercifully figured out a way to test the parking slab.

One of the worst tornadoes in US history killed 158 people in Joplin, Missouri. The rain-wrapped EF5 destroyed hundreds of structures, including homes, businesses, and a hospital.
