Notable in this is that they all reached their “ best before” date.
9 years is about as long as Canadians can deal with the same PM.
Also, resigning with zero drama and zero chance of insurrection on Jan. 6 is quite fitting.

I do wish that the likely next PM wasn’t such a sneering ideologue.

There doesn't have to be – but there will invariably be calls for there to be (especially from the Tories).
