Apart from that, it's difficult to say what is the risk for infection. For me the fact that 3-5% of the population suffer from LC and that it's disabling for around 25% of them means that it is sufficiently worrisome. Plus of course, the increase in baseline risks for diabetes, CV disease, etc.
