Oh my god hahahaha, I imagine the piercings are going to be more complex here. A screw-like shape for the cap, going into some sort of metal tube installed on the sides of the eyes/middle of the face. These things are small enough to pass as piercings, but it sounds more like a surgical procedure

I think if you get creative with the design of the blindfold, you can probably do something with less common facial piercings, like in the eyebrows, nose bridge, and cheekbones.
